Helen's story

I’m Helen Browning, CEO of the Soil Association Charity. In my role, I see first-hand the difference our work is making to the world.  

Sadly, the need for our work continues to grow. Too much of our food is still being farmed in ways that harm the planet. Green spaces are still disappearing at an alarming rate, destroying wildlife habitats. Too many animals are still being reared in intensive conditions where their natural instincts to forage are denied. 

We are the only charity that connects all of these issues – farming, food and climate – working to create natural solutions that lead to lasting change. Of course, none of this is possible without gifts in Wills. 

My time, like all our times, will pass, and we must hand the baton to the next generation. 

I see my Will as a way to change the future. By providing for my family and friends, I hope to make their lives better in the years to come. In a similar way, by leaving a gift to the Soil Association, I know I will be changing the future for all our children, grandchildren and future generations. Because as the seasons turn and the years go by, your support will continue to be needed as much as ever.
