Tom Rigby

Farmer and Grower Board Member

Tom Rigby chairs the Soil Association Farmer & Grower Board.

Tom is a dairy farmer on the Lancashire/Cheshire border supplying milk to OMSCo to their PWAB (produced without antibiotics) standard. Tom is also a small-scale grower of potatoes and vegetables and a founder member of Manchester Veg People (now trading as Veg Box People).

For many years he has been active in the NFU filling different roles at national level on Council and Policy board most recently as chair of their Organic forum.

Tom is a coordinator for the Sheep Dip Sufferers Support Group helping those whose health has been affected by organophosphates used in agriculture, if you know of anyone who has been affected please get in touch.
