Shipra Gupta
Shipra joined Soil Association Certification as a Non-Executive Director in 2024. She brings with her over two decades of work experience spanning Financial Services, Management Consulting, Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Social Enterprise working internationally across Asia, US and UK. She has spent the last 13 years working in Sustainable Finance.
Her current role is the Investments Stewardship Lead at Scottish Widows. She influences the investment value chain to integrate environmental, social and governance factors, with a ‘double materiality’ lens, through engagement with policy makers, regulators, investment managers, investee companies, civil society and peer organisations.
Additionally, she gives her time as a Trustee to The Conservation Volunteers, a charity that connects people with nature and to external Investment Committees. She's also been on the Board of Trustees at ShareAction, a responsible investment non-profit and chaired the Board of her local primary school.
She lives with her partner and two children in London, trying to imbibe the values they preach. This includes eating organic, living sustainability (though they still have a long way to go) and love spending time walking in the woods as their ‘family thing’ to do.
Shipra has closely followed and admired the work of Soil Association at the intersection of food, farming and forestry over the last several years. She is keen to contribute to the organisation’s vision of a nature positive, sustainable and inclusive world, and learning from this experience.
