Iain McVicar

As Head of Albert Goodman Chartered Accountant’s Agricultural Group, Iain manages a large team of agricultural accountants and business advisers, who act for about 500, mainly South-West, farming businesses.

Iain is on the Management Board of Albert Goodman LLP, and is also Chair of RAGUK, which is a national affiliation of agricultural accountants throughout the UK, which has the aim of staying at the forefront of agricultural accountancy.

Originally from a hill sheep and beef farm in the West of Scotland, Iain has an HND in Agriculture, and a Diploma in Advanced Agricultural Business Management, as well as being a qualified accountant. Upon leaving school he worked on several farms, before training as an agricultural consultant, then subsequently as an accountant.

Iain also acts for many farming trusts, both as accountant, and trustee.
