Andrew Burgess

Trustee 

Currently a Trustee of the Soil Association & Chair of NFU Organic Forum; Andrew has served full terms on the NFU Horticulture Board, LEAF board, AHDB & British Carrot Growers and is the director and owner of Produce World and Founder of RB Organic.
Andrew was born and raised in vegetable farming and is a strategic agronomist by profession. He attended Shuttleworth Agricultural College and has since done every role you can think of in Fresh Produce. He is a big fan of Environmental Farming, especially organic.
Having just retired from playing Rugby for Peterborough, he has now taken up post as the President! Still skis and climbs mountains, loves all outdoor pursuits. Married to Louise with three grown up daughters and now two Grandchildren.
Andrew’s greatest hero's is Winston Churchill; he never knew when he was beaten!, favourite poem and code for life is "If" by Rudyard Kipling.
