Certification Manager

Alex grew up on his family’s mixed farm in Mid-Devon. He studied Environmental Management and Science at the University of Leeds where he did his dissertation on the social restraints and uptake on Agri-Environmental Schemes.

After graduating he worked in various industries including hospitality and farming before joining Soil Association Certification in 2017. His work here mainly encompasses the livestock and arable sectors. Outside of work he is a keen sportsperson playing rugby, football or cricket depending upon the season. When possible he still likes to head home and help out on the family farm as often as possible.
