A New Scottish Farmer and Grower Board
We are inviting applications to join a new Soil Association Scotland Farmer and Grower Board.
The board will be made up of a core group of organic producers with representation from a wider range of farming types and industry expertise, and will play a key role in steering our policy and farming programme work in Scotland.
The main role of the Scottish Farmer and Grower Board will be:
- To provide a “sounding board” for Soil Association Scotland policy and farming programme work
- To advise Soil Association Scotland on current and future priorities for the Organic sector in Scotland
- To ensure that Scottish organic farmers, growers and food producers’ needs and concerns are addressed by the Soil Association and the wider organic movement.
If you are interested in joining the new Soil Association Scotland Farmer and Grower Board, please complete an application form and tell us what qualities and experience you could bring to the Board, and why you would like to stand.
Nominations are open to all types of farming and growing businesses – regardless of organic certification or certifying body. If you are not a current Soil Association licensee, you will be asked to join up as a Member of the Soil Association Charity (you do not have to be an organic producer to join as a member).
Applications should be submitted by 31 March 2025.
Please contact David McKay or Colleen McCulloch for further information.
