Planning for Change: What is Whole Farm Planning?
Planning for Change: What is Whole Farm Planning?
Wednesday 11 December, 12.30–2pm
Online
Join us for an interactive webinar exploring what Whole Farm Plans are, what the new requirements will mean for your farm, and how you can use a whole farm planning approach to boost the resilience of your business.
We will hear from John Seed of Woodend Farm in Berwickshire, who says “Whole farm planning at Woodend integrates our agricultural enterprises to maintain profitability and regenerate the farm’s sustainability and resilience. This includes incorporating energy self-sufficiency, biodiversity conservation, and innovative crop and livestock management.”
From 15 May 2025, in order to receive Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) payments, every farmer and crofter in Scotland will have to demonstrate that they have started to baseline land and livestock management practices, identified opportunities for improvement and are working towards being more sustainable, efficient and resilient.
FREE and open to farmers, crofters, growers and land managers. Booking is required.
