Trusts and foundations
Grants from charitable trusts and foundations are vital to our work to transform the way we eat, farm and care for our natural world.
How we work with trusts and foundations
Thanks to support from a wide range of trusts and foundations, we are able to develop, innovate and deliver exciting new initiatives. At the same time, we continue to influence policy and bring about change within our food and farming systems.
To help keep our funders informed about our work we provide:
- regular updates and reports on funded projects
- news about our achievements and successes
- information about supporting exciting new initiatives
- opportunities to meet our team and beneficiaries, such as farm visits, conferences, briefings and awards ceremonies
- acknowledgment of support in our annual impact report

Over a 12-year period, we have invested over £4m in Soil Association’s Innovative Farmers programme. It has been a privilege to support such an important programme, bringing together farmers and researchers to test transferable, nature-friendly and affordable approaches, and to see those influencing broader farming practices for a more sustainable future.Nikki Jeffery Executive Director, King Charles III Charitable Fund
