Product approval
Products
We have a range of resources to help with getting organic products approved and added to your licence. Our standards provide further detailed information.
When adding new products you will need to complete the relevant specification forms and consider if the composition meets the organic standards.
If you are using a natural flavouring or an additive/processing aid that is a high GM risk, you will need to complete the relevant declaration(s).The Non-GM declaration lists the additives/processing aids that are considered a GM risk.
When certifying products to Soil Association standards, you will need to make sure the packaging material complies. You can use the packaging checklist (contained within MIPS & SIPS) to assess whether the packaging meets the standards. Further information on packaging materials can be found under our packaging resources page.
