Changes to the GB list of approved third country certification bodies

Defra have published an update to the GB list of approved third country certification bodies.

You can view the Defra GB (Great Britain) lists of equivalent third countries and certification bodies on their Organic registers page.

This affects importers into GB.

The changes are:

Annex III

• 1 Indian control body has been removed: Sikkim State Organic Certification Agency (IN-ORG-028)

• 3 new Chile control bodies have been added:

  • Patagonia Cert SpA (CL-BIO-032)

  • Primus Chile SpA (CL-BIO-033)

  • Organización Internacional Agropercuaria (CL-BIO-036)

• The length of the UK-Republic of Korea organic equivalency arrangement has been extended to 31 December 2028.

Annex IV

• Bio.Inspecta AG’s recognition has been updated to include Egypt (product categories A and D).

• Control Union recognition has been updated to include Madagascar (product categories A – F).

• Organic Crop Improvement Association has had a change of address.
