Update on the requirement for COIs for organic products from the EU, EEA and Switzerland
On Friday afternoon, Defra published an update on their organic import webpage stating that Certificates of Inspection, (COI), for organic products from the EU, EEA and Switzerland will now not be required until 1st February 2027.
The published date had been February 2025, so according to this information on the website COIs from the EU, EEA and Switzerland will now be delayed by a further two years until February 2027.
