Changes to the GB list of approved third country certification bodies.

Defra have published an update to the GB list of approved third country certification bodies.

The changes came into effect on 17th February 2023. You can view the GB lists of equivalent third countries and certification bodies here.

This affects importers into GB.

The changes are:

Annex III

• 2 Japanese certification bodies have been removed: OCIA Japan (JP-BIO-008) and JAPAN GRAIN INSPECTION ASSOCIATION (JP-BIO-039)

• A new Japanese certification body has been added: Miyazaki Organic Agriculture Association (JP-BIO-042) 

Annex IV

• CERES Certification of Environmental Standards GmbH’s listing for Tajikistan was revised (added product category B, removed category D)

• Control Union Certifications listing for Kenya has had category F added to it.

• NASAA Certified Organic Pty Ltd has been reinstated
