Annual fee increases frozen in response to COVID-19

Annual fee increases frozen in response to COVID-19

Considering the uncertainty around the market and pressures being felt by businesses due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the decision to hold this price increase for a minimum of 6 months and will review it at the end of September 2020.

We communicated our annual fee increase to all Soil Association Certification Organic Licensees in January 2020, with an implementation date of 01 April 2020, however now, our fees for organic food, farming, COSMOS, Health and Beauty, GOTS and associated organic schemes will all remain at 2019/20 levels.

The Coronavirus pandemic has placed unprecedented pressure particularly on farmers and food suppliers across the supply chain as they work hard to maintain food production and distribution during this time of global crisis, and we also recognise the market uncertainty across the other sectors of health and beauty and textiles, and the lack of demand for product into foodservice.

2020/21 Fees

We want to ensure that we are doing all that we can to support you, and hope that this will go some way towards that goal.

If you have received an invoice from us in the last two weeks reflecting the higher fee amount, we will be in touch shortly with an updated invoice reflecting the new frozen fee level.

We have also suspended physical inspections and are currently implementing a process for self-assessment and remote/desk-based inspections.

Our teams are here to help during this unprecedented time, please get in touch if you have any questions.
