Stuart and Heather Isbister launched the retail arm of The Worm that Turned in 2004 with a simple mission to help customers ‘revitalise their outdoor space’. Fed up with working for large corporate bodies who see the green agenda as a marketing tool rather than something that comes from the heart, they set about using their extensive buying and marketing experience to put together an edited range of fine outdoor products mainly centred around a garden theme.
The aim is to help make your outdoor space gorgeous but, where possible, not damage the bigger outdoor space in the process. Made from natural resources, often from the UK, but this is followed pragmatically unless synthetic or overseas alternatives are clearly better. Items have to be both useful and beautiful. Products that use FSC wood are clearly marked and they have an extensive and unusual range of accessories for the organic gardener. From a tiny balcony to a country estate, the helpful staff will help you find an item to enhance it in their Nottingham shop and if you ask nicely they will gift wrap your purchase where appropriate.
