Nature of Scotland Awards
09 January 2013
The Nature of Scotland Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement in Scottish nature conservation.
Scotland is renowned worldwide for its beautiful wild places and abundant wildlife. We must work hard to preserve this precious natural heritage, celebrating success stories and protecting that which is under real threat.
This is the second year of the awards. With more than 90 outstanding entries last year, we cannot wait to see what Scotland has to offer this year.
The RSPB is delighted to be hosting these awards which will recognise the very best efforts made for the benefit of nature conservation in Scotland. The challenges involved in protecting and nurturing Scotland’s special places and iconic species are ever more pressing.
The Nature of Scotland Awards open for entries on 14 November 2012 and close on Friday 15 March 2013. Entrants will find out if they have reached the shortlist on 18 June at the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament.
Anyone can enter the awards, from businesses, public sector organisations, community groups, politicians and individuals, provided they or the project they are working on is linked to Scotland. Entry is free.
