Course participants will all make our soft cheese 'dancys fancy' which has won a silver medal in the British Cheese Awards, and learn about the various cultures and methods used to make a variety of cheeses. There will also be an opportunity to hear about our butter and yoghurt production. All methods shown can be easily adapted for home production!
The soft cheese will be ready to collect 2-3 weeks later to enjoy at home - or for a small cost it can be sent if you are far away. With Clive Curtis, our resident award winning cheesemaker in the creamery at Abbey Home Farm. Carrying on the discussions over an organic lunch made from local ingredients in the organic farm shop cafe with Clive.
