YOU ARE AT: HOME » EDUCATION » TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE

From keeping bees to how to make cheese, the Soil Association is offering you the chance to learn from master bakers, butchers and beeswax candlestick makers in a revival of all things rustically rudimentary to the simple joys in life.
Spend a day in the beautiful surroundings of one of our organic farms and be inspired to try your hand at those forgotten skills our grandparents took for granted. Learn to reap what you sow by growing your own fruit and vegetables, get the lowdown on keeping chickens or discover the secrets to the perfect loaf – the choice is yours. If you've ever had a secret yen to live the good life, now is your chance to get started!

In return for helping us to create a vibrant relocalised food culture where the importance of good food is truly valued you will receive the information you need to help lead a planet friendly lifestyle.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed myself. The day was both stimulating and relaxing. And the resultant butter and baking were delicious. I joined the Soil Association so that I could attend the event and I'm wondering why I didn't join years ago.

Thank you for a fantastic day. I learnt loads and have been itching to get going on our hedges and fruit trees. Your hospitality, food and teaching were all second to none.
