Somerset Flower Farm, Flower Fields, Nates Lane, Wrington, Somerset.BS40 5RS

We are holding our next Foam Weeding field lab event at Somerset Flower Farm from 11am - 2.30pm on Wednesday 11th of September.
This is a follow-on event from to last meeting on the 19th of July.

At this event, we will be reviewing the impact of the foam weeding application which was carried out on the 19th. Those who could not attend the last event are more than welcome to attend this event - we will also carry out another demonstration of the foam weeding for those who couldn’t attend as well as an optional farm walk.

A formal agenda will be sent upon booking. Please email Astrid at producer.support@soilassociation.org to book your place.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Succeed with seed with selection perfection

Ben Raskin: One of the keys to saving your own seed is the 'selection', or identifying the best of your plants to keep the seed from. If you are aiming to 'maintain' a variety, in other words to keep it as close as possible to the original genetics of that variety, then there will be specific traits you will need to keep (colour, height, pest or disease resistance for instance). Most of just want to ensure the selection performs well in our garden or farm.
