Initial Meeting of Food & Fuel Working Group

12 February 2013 16:00 - 12 February 2013 18:30

Venue: Mountfield, Bridport, Dorset, DT6 3JP, in the Committee Room on the ground floor.

The focus for the initial meeting will be a training session delivered by the Community Land Advisory Service.
The session will focus on negotiating leases and licences, including preparing Heads of Terms and management agreements.
The training will take approximately 2 hours, and we will then have 30 minutes to discuss a work programme for the Food & Fuel Working Group, running up to the Bridport Local Food Conference in June.

There will be 3 key areas of focus:
- the development of the woodfuel co-op;
- the development of a business plan for purchase of land (to produce food and fuel);
- the development of a feasibility study into a food co-op / multi-farm CSA project.
You do not need to be involved in all three areas!

Please contact Tim Crabtree  if you will be attending, so he can arrange tea and biscuits.

Concepta Cassar: The arrival of March marks the melting of winter into spring, and the long-awaited emergence of new life from the depths of the cold season. Around the country, people will be cracking open bean pods and shaking out little envelopes, while the seed industry celebrates an early cash crop.
