Made it!

Tim Young - 09 February 2011

Catching the seven o'clock train from Bristol is never easy, but we made it up in time for Helen's opening. Great to hear her pay tribute to Patrick, and her thoughts for the future - stressing the need for the Soil Association to play a part in the 'big society' by being much more open to working with others and setting old differences apart - 'we should stop lobbing stones from the hills'.

Good stuff, and it's great to be here. More to follow on Caroline Spelman and following panel debate. . .

Tim is editor of the Soil Association's Living Earth magazine, and has written on food, health and consumer issues for the last ten years. When not at work Tim is normally being run ragged by his two young sons. In 2009 Tim started trying to grow vegetables, and last year he took on an allotment. Two years later he is still trying to grow vegetables, and is very hopeful that one day soon he will have some success.
