Food for Life Partnership Early Years Project Manager

The Food for Life Partnership (FFLP) is a national programme working with over 4,000 schools in England to transform their food culture. As part of our work in extending the FFLP model we are now recruiting for a project manager to lead our work on developing an early years adaptation of the FFLP award scheme which can be used in all early years settings.

The successful candidate will be required to seek feedback on the proposed award structure and criteria from a representative range of settings, to include childminders, nurseries and children’s centres, and develop the scheme accordingly. The post-holder will coordinate the input of an expert advisory group, lead the development of appropriate resources, and identify and take forward opportunities to promote the wide take-up of the early years award.  

Knowledge of current public health and education policy framework in relation to early years providers and food standards will be required for this role as will project management experience. You will also have experience of engagement with schools, nurseries and other early years providers and will be able to work strategically with senior members of staff at local authorities and/or public health teams and similar across early years providers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be experienced at giving presentations.
