Our work in Scotland
We all want to see farms in Scotland that are productive, profitable and sustainable. Here at Soil Association Scotland, we aim to provide practical, informative and topical events that help you take your farming business forward into the future with confidence.
Our events and field labs are a great way to find out more about how sustainable farming practices could make a difference to your business.
Our Future Farming Scotland programme of events
– funded and delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, QMS, Forestry Commission Scotland, Innovative Farmers and the Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation – range from farm walk-and-talk sessions and in-depth workshops through to longer-term field labs
exploring solutions for practical farm issues. The events will cover a variety of topics:
- Soil, nutrient and grassland management;
- Animal health and productivity;
- Woodland creation and management; and
- Organic farming.
Our aim is to help you explore low-input, sustainable approaches to farming that are good for your business as well as the environment. All sessions are free, practical and farmer-led, focused on how you can put change in to practice and share your own experiences.
