The Soil Association Organic Food Awards are the UK's only awards to celebrate the highest quality organic food and drink. Every year the awards attract over 500 entries; some of the tastiest, most sustainable foods the UK has to offer.

The awards provide a perfect showcase for organic products and businesses, with the winners' stories promoting the many reasons why organic food and drink is unique. Winners will be given a winning logo for ongoing promotional use and will benefit from the high-profile media coverage in national, regional and food-specialist media, as well as extensive use of our social media feeds, which currently has a reach of 100,000 and is growing fast.

The final awards will be presented at a prestigious awards ceremony in September 2013.

Product awards

The product awards are open to all organic food and drink products certified by a recognised certifier. There are 11 categories and 34 sub-categories this year - from poultry, preserves and pasta to cheese, chocolate and cider.

All judging of product entries is done blind by an expert panel of judges including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and specialists, alongside celebrity foodies and consumer judges.

In addition to our main category winners, organic food and drink products that shine in the blind tasting will be given Gold awards in each sub-category. We will also award some Best Value awards this year across all product categories, as well as a Best Scottish Product award, to be allocated to the highest scoring entry produced in Scotland.
